Shortly after moving to Celebration, Florida, in the fall of 2016, I began to take more of an interest in photography. I started bringing my camera on adventures in the surrounding area of Kissimmee.
I had dreamed of living in Celebration since I first visited it the previous year, and I was so happy that I now lived minutes away from Walt Disney World in a picturesque little town.
My favorite scenes included the smooth reflections in the pond downtown and the nature that thrived around that pond.
Just down the road was Old Town, a small theme park that is usually overlooked in favor of Disney World.
On the same stretch of highway, gift shops entice tourists with their elaborate theming and cheap Floridian souvenirs.
Beyond Celebration and Old Town and the stretch of gift shops and rundown hotels is the true Kissimmee that contains history, architecture, and of course the same beautiful nature that can be found throughout the Sunshine State.
